Pear sub-ohm kit IQOS in Australia: the budget shortlist
Pear in Australia: 16 units tested over 6 weeks, sub-ohm kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Australia.
Coil life, liquid cost and the pear habit
Most people searching IQOS in Australia are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
The honest read on pear: 16 units through the same routine over 6 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
The short version: pear in Australia works if the sub-ohm kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a pear sub-ohm kit really costs in Australia
Pear in a sub-ohm kit is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Australia the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested pear in a sub-ohm kit
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Australia, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Pick the sub-ohm kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Spare parts availability for sub-ohm kit in Australia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Stock depth: 16 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is 20 mg/mL in Australia, not a suggestion.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every pear bottle shipped into Australia.
Where pear goes wrong
- Treating the advertised A$63 entry kit as the real cost when refills run A$2.02 per 10 ml.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long pear in Australia survives.
- Chasing a discount on a sub-ohm kit that then needs an adapter nobody in Australia stocks.
The rules that apply here
