Plum cartomizer IQOS in Australia: the guide shortlist
Plum in Australia: 10 units tested over 4 weeks, cartomizer formats, priced per 10 ml for Australia.
How to tell a good cartomizer from a repack
Plum in Australia reaches the shelf in cartomizer formats, and the starter ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.

The short version: plum in Australia works if the cartomizer, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a plum cartomizer really costs in Australia
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Australia. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested plum in a cartomizer
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Pick the cartomizer that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Coil type inside the cartomizer, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a cartomizer arrives sealed but wrong.
- Stock depth: 10 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every plum bottle shipped into Australia.
Where plum goes wrong
- Assuming 20 mg/mL is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Australia accept nicotine freight.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long plum in Australia survives.
The rules that apply here
Australia caps nicotine at 20 mg/ml outside legal prescription channels. Shipping of nicotine to Australia runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Wholesale lines to Australia need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
| What it is | This page | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Flavour | Plum | Decides coil choice more than strength does |
| Format | cartomizer | Sets how much liquid you are actually buying |
| Stock checked | 10 lines | Batch-traced, dated production runs only |
| Nicotine ceiling | 20 mg/mL | Legal retail limit in Australia |
| Coil life | ~5 days | The hidden monthly cost |
| Delivery to Australia | 4–9 business days | Buffer the reorder around this |
| Entry kit | A$60 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | A$2.54 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On plum the budget price and the premium price can sit within A$2.54 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
How much does a cartomizer cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Australia: about A$2.54 per 10 ml liquid plus A$60 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
How long does plum in a cartomizer last?
In Australia we measured 4 to 10 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
