Salted prefilled pod IQOS in Australia: the online shortlist
Salted in Australia: 6 units tested over 7 weeks, prefilled pod formats, priced per 10 ml for Australia.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
The honest read on salted: 6 units through the same routine over 7 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Salted prefilled pod reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 6 units and 7 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Below is the run we did for this search: 6 units, prefilled pod, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a salted prefilled pod really costs in Australia
Salted sounds like one product. It is not: a prefilled pod running 20 mg/mL will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested salted in a prefilled pod
- Pick the prefilled pod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Stock depth: 6 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Batch code and production date, so a salted bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Spare parts availability for prefilled pod in Australia, since tanks and pods go first.
Where salted goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a prefilled pod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long salted in Australia survives.
- Mixing salted with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.

Frequently asked questions
Why does salted taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the prefilled pod units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the salted blend itself harsh.
How long does salted in a prefilled pod last?
In Australia we measured 7 to 6 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Is salted legal to sell in Australia?
Australia caps nicotine at 20 mg/ml outside legal prescription channels.
