Sour squonk mod IQOS in Australia: the guide shortlist
Sour in Australia: 23 units tested over 9 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Australia.
Coil life, liquid cost and the sour habit
Sour in a squonk mod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Australia the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
The honest read on sour: 23 units through the same routine over 9 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
The short version: sour in Australia works if the squonk mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a sour squonk mod really costs in Australia
Sour in a squonk mod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Australia the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested sour in a squonk mod
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Australia, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Stock depth: 23 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Batch code and production date, so a sour bottle turned in 9 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where sour goes wrong
- Treating the advertised A$45 entry kit as the real cost when refills run A$1.67 per 10 ml.
- Mixing sour with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why sour tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Australia need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Packaging for sour in Australia must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

What nicotine strength should sour start at?
Start at whatever Australia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a squonk mod.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On sour the budget price and the premium price can sit within A$1.67 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
Do you ship tracked orders to Australia?
Yes, tracked to 4–9 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
